This article posted on OilPrice.com yesterday describes the huge mess Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) has created by using Aramco as a money tree. They are paying out $18.75 billion every quarter in dividends, exceeding their free cash flow. This is forcing them to cut back on future development projects, an unsustainable trajectory.

If Aramco tanked, what would that mean for US Producers? $200 oil?

Saudi Aramco Death by Dividend
Re: Saudi Aramco Death by Dividend
This huge Saudi mistake could also explain their OPEC+ reaction to UAE demands. The Saudis really don't want to boost production, perhaps because they can't afford to, and based upon their ongoing personal battle to step on every venture the UAE takes to better itself, they don't want to yield any market share to the UAE. Hence the stalemate. Just a hypothesis on my part.
