Bottomline: Not as bad as it appeared on television.

Tank Dell injury update
Dell was released from the Kansas City hospital and returned back to Houston on Sunday.
“Right now, we still will be evaluating to see where he is,” Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said. “He’s still meeting with doctors to see what’s next for him."
Despite the fact that Ryans called it a "significant knee injury" and Dell's need for immediate medical attention, the Texans have not officially declared the injury a season-ending one for the wideout.
Dell posted a video to his TikTok page on Sunday with clips of himself and voiced over with audio from a Stephen A. Smith interview with Kobe Bryant from 2006.
"Let it go," Bryant's voice says in the video. "It is what it is. You let it go, put it in God's hands, and he'll carry it. God is great.
"God is great. Don't get no simpler than that, bro...You can know it all you want, but until you got to pick up that cross that you can't carry, and He picks it up for you and carries you and the cross. Then you know."
Dell captioned the video, "When you want something so bad you got a different type of attachment to it… #NosurrenderNoretreat"
How long is Tank Dell out?
Though Dell's injury has been classified as "significant" and appeared to be season-ending, Houston has not yet made that designation official. For now, he's out "indefinitely," NFL Network reported.
When a reporter asked Ryans if the team had ruled him out for the season, the second-year head coach didn't give a clear answer.
“We don’t – we’re still evaluating that to see what will happen,” Ryans said. “He still has to talk to doctors and go through all the procedures there.”
If it is, indeed, a season-ender, it would be Dell's second such injury in his two years in the pros. The second-year receiver fractured his fibula during a Week 13 game last year and missed the remainder of his rookie season.

Pain is often not a good indicator of how bad an injury. During my Junior year at Tulsa University I suffered a severe knee injury that ended my days of playing football. When it happened, there was very little pain. I limped off the field, but actually thought I could go back in. Hours later it hurt like hell and I needed major reconstructive surgery the next day because three of the four largest ligaments were severed completely. My rehab took over a year, but I fully recovered and the knee is fine today at age 70.

Too similar here, my flash TCU football career ended in 72 freshman Spring conditioning stand up wrestling event.
Tore ACL and cartilage. Orthopedic technology was "Stone Age" compared to even 10 years later. Told my current Ortho doc about the repair in 72 and he said they don't even study that anymore. ACL rebuilt in 92 with new tech.
Drove on it hard till 2 years ago when hard headed me became convinced to get the "replacement" I avoided like the plague. 2 months formal rehab, then went into pickleball full speed. So far so good. Orthopedic technology has advanced so much. Hopefully Tank will recover.
