Sweet 16 Update - February 17

Susan and I got back from vacation this morning. We were on the RCL cruise ship out of Galveston that did not catch fire. We had great weather and had a great time.

I see that the Sweet 16 pulled back a bit last week, primarily the result of lower oil prices. GPOR's dip is somewhat related to their stock offering. Personally, I see those dips as great buying opportunities. Keep in mind that the firm that took that large block of stock did extensive due diligence before they closed and they always want the stock at a discount. It is just part of the Wall Street game and nothing to be too concerned about. First Call's target price is now $52.38 for GPOR, which is getting very close to my Fair Value Estimate.

First Call increased their target price for Helmerich & Payne (HP) by more than $10/share last week. That is the largest increase I've seen for a Sweet 16 company in quite sometime. IMO HP is worth even more than that.

4th quarter results for lots of S-16 companies will be pouring out next week.
