Big Money moving into the Sweet 16

Post by dan_s »

I'm not sure why this is happening, but there was a ton of money moved into the Sweet 16 today. Check out the volume on some of them.

Agree! Our sector has been undervalued, but with the price of oil staying up and the Spread narrowing people are wising up. Hope you are right Dan and these next couple of quarters are going to be "Gang Busters"! Evidently the Fund Managers are thinking so and want to bag some profits in their portfolios before the end of the year.

The Sweet 16 had a good run up since our last newsletter, but our Small-Cap Growth Portfolio had a “Great” run. The portfolio is up 15.4% in October. The Feds’ decision not to “taper” has driven money back into equities and investors are willing to take on more risk. Fund managers have expanded their scope to establish positions in these high growth companies. This big move for our small-caps tells me that Wall Street is gaining more confidence in oil prices and more “hope” that natural gas prices can move higher this winter. I am definitely in that camp.

Its been a satisfying week. I have too much Lightstream according to my Schwab consultant but I love the dividend.
