Natural Gas Storage Report - April 9

Post by dan_s »

Working gas in storage was 1,476 Bcf as of Friday, April 3, 2015, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 15 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 651 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 173 Bcf below the 5-year average of 1,649 Bcf.

"Shoulder Season" is here. Nice to start so far below the 5-year average, but I see little chance of natural gas moving back to $3.00 until next winter heating season begins. LNG exports from the U.S. should start sometime in Q4, which may give prices a boost.
