There are a lot of SWAGs out there that Iran will quickly bring a lot of oil onto the market in 2016. My guess is that it will take much longer than most predictions.

Plus, I believe Iran will break many of the promises that they made to Obama & Kerry in the Nuke Deal very soon after the check clears (we are going to give them over $100 Billion when the deal is signed).
Any company foolish enough to invest in Iran should know that there is a good chance sanctions will be back on in 2017.

Even if we get a president who actually gives a damn about what Iran does - the rest of the world will not. They are already cheating with their rocket tests.
Feckless leadership is not restricted to the US. Iranian oil is a done deal. Just IMO.

Re: Iran
I agree, but I don't think Iran will be able to ramp up production nearly as fast as some people believe. Yes, they will add a couple 100,000 bbls per day quickly, but getting back to pre-sanction levels won't happen for a long time and will require $Billions.
The real question is what will the West do if Iran ramps up its war against Saudi Arabia? The Obama/Kerry team is giving them over $100 Billion for a new "war chest".

then there are those that think all that Iraqi oil is not Iraqi. Iranian crude may already be a done deal for the most part."
Now that is something I have not thought of - but something that makes total sense. Thanks for the idea.

Re: Iran
When Obama pulled the troops out of Iraq we gave the southern third of the country to Iran. If Iran isn't selling a lot of oil out of Basra, it would be amazing. Four of the highest producing oilfields in Iraq are in the area now controlled by Iran.
