Post by adamlloyd »

BP has just released their forecasts for energy sources and utilization through 2030. A few key points:
o Population to increase by 1.4B to around 7B
o World energy consumption up 39% from 2010 to 2030 (1.7% pa) compared to 45% in past 20 years
o In 2030 the three fossil fuels will each contribute around 26-27%
o Hydro, nuclear and renewables (including biofuels) each around 7%
The report is 80 pages and well worth looking at, whether you agree with the forecasts or not.
