I am doing some research on VNOM and noticed that they missed the earnings reporting -.01 versus the estimate of 0.19 and the earnings for this year are lower than last year. Do you know why?

With the socialists that were elected I don't think they really care about destroying these jobs especially since most of these people are considered to be the deplorables. Their agenda is much more important especially when the world may end in 10 years.

This has been an extremely bad year for anything in the energy sector. I think everyone has just given up. Who needs to continue losing money? Maybe there is some idea out there that the Dems will try to wipe out fossil fuels. I guess we have to see what their agenda is when they take control.

Hi Dan, have you had a chance to look at the CDEV earnings that were reported last night? The report looked good but they missed on the earnings estimate.

I held this one thinking that it was one of the strongest in the sector and was hoping for some kind of bounce with good earnings, but obviously I was wrong. These stocks are destroying my portfolio and I have reached my limit of pain. Maybe this is the bottom but I'm out.

The oil price is down almost 2%. Hopefully it will find some support in November. When are the Iranian sanctions scheduled to begin?

I appreciate your explanation regarding the debt question. CLR has pulled back 12 pts. from the highs and I am wondering if this might be a good entry price since I missed the first run up. Any thoughts on the sector or are these just going down with the overall market?

I have been trying to figure out why this sector is so out of favor when the price of oil is holding up pretty well. No one wants any of these stocks. Every time they get a little traction the sellers come in. Very discouraging for energy investors!

That's what I was afraid of in an all stock merger. At today's price the proceeds for RSPP shareholders would be 44.37 not 49.00. RSPP is trading today at 43.24. CX0 is down $18.00 since the agreement was announced. I guess that is why everyone is selling.

Since the merger was announced RSPP has been downgraded by about 4 firms. Why are they doing that when it will be taken out? It seems that they are basing the price on what CXO is trading at.
